Today we removed from a bank that closed a TL-15 rated night depository safe, a TL15 rated cash safe and all of the safe deposit boxes from the vault.
First we tackled the large TL-15 night depository safe. We had to cut the deposit shoot off of the safe first in order to move the safe through the doors of the building, as it had been put in place prior to the walls being put in place when the bank was built.
Second we moved the smaller TL15 rated cash safe which was much lighter, probably only 3,500 pounds.
Next we had to dismantle, then unstack the 22 safe deposit box nests with weights ranging from 300-600 pounds each. This required us to fabricate a custom device to safely accomplish the task. So we made an attachment that we could connect to our cherry picker. We had plenty of room in the vault so this device worked excellent.
